It's been a while

Because it's been a month and a half since my last post, I thought I could update everyone.

Robby is doing well in his classes he is taking to become a motorcycle mechanic. He aces all his tests and studies hard.
He has been training some Muay Thai fighters at the gym, preparing them for fights coming up on March 3rd. We are excited to attend those. They are always fun to watch.
Robby is hoping to fight soon. He thinks in June he may have a Muay Thai fight, he is also thinking about taking a couple Boxing matches.
Robby has been doing food storage homework, figuring out what we need to buy and stock up on. feeling a little more prepared.

Abbey is helping me prepare for Baby Eliza. With her help we went through all the baby clothes, washed them and hung them. We also got the crib up and bedding. We are all set to go!
She is loving school, and has lots of friends. She is doing well in school and her teacher loves her.
Her Primary teachers have come to me a few times and have said "You have raised her well, really well" I don't think we had much to do with it, she was just born a sweet heart. She is Mommy #2 and helps me out so much!

Jaden has changed so much in the past few months! He loves drawing and coloring now. (he didn't in the past) He is much more well behaved. His tantrums are far and few between. He talks so much and talking so much better. I think preschool has helped him with that. He loves Wigwum and Babee (Brigham and Abbey) He talks so cute. He likes sharing a room with Brigham, but sometimes Brigham wakes him up and I can hear him tell Brigham "Wigwum, be quiet, me so tierd, me want to sleep"! He has become better at helping clean up his toys. He still isn't fond of primary and still cries when he has to go. He is really excited for Baby Eliza. He awlays kisses my belly.

Brigham is such a loveable little squirt! He is still Tiny Tim but has grown up so much in the past few months. He is 17 1/2 months now. We took him to Nursery today. He liked it and did well. . He can say a lot of words, but doesnt talk too much. He is a good at helping out around the house. His favorite chore is unloading the dishes. He listens very well. He is obidient. He likes to color, and read books. He loves playing with Abbey and Jaden. He loves to put on Boxing gloves and punch the bag, or dad. When we go to the gym he will put on gloves and punch the bags or he will pretend to spar with some of the guys at the gym. It's so cute.

I am 21 weeks pregnant now! I'm on the down hill. I look 9 months pregnant though (ugh)
Every thing is going well. I still have my lovely morning sickness, but I can tell its on the road outa here. So hopefully in the next week or two, it will be gone.
This pregnancy has been a little bit harder then the first 3. Only becuase of the morning sickness lasting so long. Also I've had a headache (bad headache) almost every day for 6 weeks. Those are also starting to go.
I have had lots of acid reflux, and constipation. (TMI, I know) But right now the hardest thing for me is, I am really fatuiged! I don't know why, but I am always so tired!! I know I am anemic, maybe that has a bit to do with it. or chasing 3 kids.

My new adveture

I want to be a Labor and delivery nurse. I had taken a couple classes towards my nursing degree. But because Robby works 2 jobs, lack of funds, and taking care of 3 little kids and 1 on the way, I decided to put school on hold for now.
I am really interested in pregnancy, and labor in delivery. It fascinates me. I am always trying to learn more about it and always reading up on things.
I have been able to attended 5 births and have loved being apart of those!
After I had Jaden, I became really interested in learning more about the whole birth processes and I learned more about Natural birth. I felt Natural was the way to go. I heard about Doula's and knew a Doula was want I wanted for my 3rd birth. After learning more about Doula's and seeing first hand how a Doula helped me and how awesome it was to have one. I knew being a Doula was something I really wanted to do. I think a Doula sounds more appealing then a Nurse. I get to do the fun part. So I have signed up for classes to get certified as a Doula. I take a short course in Doula training and then to become certified I will take a child birthing class, a breastfeeding classes, and then attend 3 births (as a Doula) and be there with the mom's the entire labor. during those births, the attending nurses and physician evaluates me, and then fills out a report on how I did. Then I write a paper on the births I attended.
For those who don't know what a Doula is or does, here is a description:

The word "doula" comes from the ancient Greek meaning "a woman who serves" and is now used to refer to a trained and experienced professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to the mother before, during and just after birth; or who provides emotional and practical support during the postpartum period.

Studies have shown that when doulas attend birth, labors are shorter with fewer complications, babies are healthier and they breastfeed more easily.

A Birth Doula

Recognizes birth as a key experience the mother will remember all her life

Understands the physiology of birth and the emotional needs of a woman in labor

Assists the woman in preparing for and carrying out her plans for birth

Stays with the woman throughout the labor

Provides emotional support, physical comfort measures and an objective viewpoint, as well as helping the woman get the information she needs to make informed decision

Facilitates communication between the laboring woman, her partner and her clinical care providers

Perceives her role as nurturing and protecting the woman's memory of the birth experience

Allows the woman's partner to participate at his/her comfort level

I am so excited to do this!

EXTRA - EXTRA, READ ALL ABOUT IT!

Let me tell you about me!

Brigham:
*I like to follow my "dadeeee" all around the house and talk to him as we walk. My dad calls it "jibber Jabber".
*I have learned new words that aren't "Jibber Jabbers" I can say, dadeeee, momma, Nanna (banana) moooe(more) hi, bye, hello, Abba(Abbey) Toothie(Tootsie, our cat)
*Even though I am a baby of few words, I understand a lot!
*Some nick names I have been given are: Runt, Tiny Tim and Munchkin. I am only in the 10% tile in my height and weight.
*My favorite past times are: running around, climbing, balancing on every thing that wobbles and that is high off the ground, and searching through draws, pantry, garbage, and toilets. My parents say I am wild and into everything! But I say, what else am I suppose to do?
*When I go to church my favorite thing to do besides run around is to go through other mom's purses/diaper bags. Once I got lots of money from my home teachers wallet! I thought my parents would like it, because they don't have any.

Jaden:
*Santa came and made all my toy dreams come true! I got everything I wanted, plus more!
*Santa brought me toys because I have been so good lately! I don't throw many tantrums, I have learned not to be "lazy" and clean up my toys. I also listen to my mom and dad and go to bed like I am suppose to.
*Sunday I will be in Sunbeams! I will miss Nursery, because They have toys, snacks and bubbles
*My favorite Christmas movie is Frosty the snow man.
*I got tools, and 2 guns for Christmas, that means I am a dad now!

Abbey:
*Christmas is my new favorite Holiday! It was so fun!
*I got a leapster and I play with it every chance I get!
*My grandparents got me a nightstand for my room. I keep all my important supplies in it. Such as: art supplies, beauty supplies and lots of odds and ends.
*I also turn my nightstand into a hair/beauty Salon.
*I have so many friends at school. I really love school!
*I am learning to read and I love to read, write and do homework.
*One day I will have hair as long as Rapunzel!

*Robby:
*I've had 2 weeks off of work, and that has been grand! I wish I could retire.
*I just might take our Christmas lights down this yr. Kaycee will probably make me.
*taking an online class for Motorcycle repairs
*enjoyed my Christmas, but I am glad it is over because it is exhausting and can get expensive!

Kaycee:
*Christmas was so fun! it seemed extra fun this year. Maybe because the kids are at the perfect age.
*I am almost 14 weeks pregnant. Still sick. If it follows the first 3 pregnancies I have only 6 more weeks of morning (all day) sickness.
*for me, my belly has always grown faster then most people during pregnancy. I was in maternity clothes around 10 weeks. crazy huh?
*One week from today, January 5th we are going to find out the sex of this baby!! Yes, I am impatient! I talked Robby into paying $50.00 to find out earlier. We always get a 4d ultrasound at about 28 weeks , and that $50.00 goes towards that, so really we aren't paying too much more to find out the sex.
*We had all our indoor decor/tree down the day after Christmas, and I am hoping to have the outdoor stuff down this weekend.
*I am so bummed because I didn't take one single picture at any of our MANY Christmas parties!!! What is wrong with me? That isn't like me. I guess it was because I wasn't feeling good, and it was one less thing to worry about. Luckily I did get a few pictures on Christmas.
*so I switched to a midwife, because a midwife was more my style of the whole birthing process. But as the weeks went by my crazy mind went wild thinking about the things that could go wrong during pregnancy, during labor, and after labor and I got freaked out and decided to go back to my OB Doc. Mainly because My doc has been practicing for over 30 yrs and I completely trust her with my health and the baby. Also I am not good with change and I have been with her for so long! The Midwife has only been practicing for 6 yrs and I no nothing about her, so it freaked me out. I know, I am strange like that, and very wishy washy.
But when I went to my last appointment (at my Doc's office) I felt at home. So I guess I made the right choice in going back.

So that is us in a nutshell!
